Social Content Creation
An important aspect of the Pivotshare solution is a new concept we call "social content creation." It lets you create a new community and publish your work. Then, someone else you may or may not know can see this, decide that they want to be a part of this movement and you can let them contribute while still retaining an aspect of control over your creation.
When you create a new community, you become the editor. As the editor, you are responsible for the community's appearance, selecting featured media, marketing, content moderation and most importantly, growing the community. You will also be the community's first author. Authors upload, organize, and manage the content in the community.
The editor can invite new authors to contribute at any time. Individuals can also apply to contribute to a community. Their applications can include a short biography and a link to work samples to help evaluate potential additions.
